Brad Vest is a documentary photographer based in Memphis, Tennessee. His work aspires to offer intimate views into individual, familial and social stories.

He worked as a staff photographer at The Commercial Appeal in Memphis from 2013 to 2019 where he was named the Pictures of the Year International Newspaper Photographer of the Year. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois and a Master of Arts degree in Visual Communication from Ohio University.

In 2011 he was named Pictures of the Year College Photographer of the year. In 2012 he was the winner of the National Press Photographers Association’s Cliff Edom’s New America Award. In 2017 Vest was named a finalist for the Pictures of the Year International Community Awareness Award.

In 2019 selected photographs of Vest's were featured in the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art's "Photography in Memphis” exhibition.
